My last full day in Japan. It's
was a long and tiring, albeit worthwhile trip. I'm writing this
in September as I neglected to finish up the site upon my return, and
on reflection, it was a very good business trip, but it did affect
me. I haven't really had sushi since I got back, I no longer
worry about eating fish eggs, and I wouldn't worry about much if
another trip came up. But it was definitely disorienting.
Here's some additional pix I took on those last few days:
This is outside the train station which is the last stop on the () line.
About a block from that station is a mosque, supposedly the largest in
Tokyo. It's quite new.
This is the platform at that station. Some are tracks going back
downtown, others are transfer tracks to the suburban train lines.
No Shinkansen trains here.
The last night the Tokyo Tower was wreathed in fog, so I took a bunch
of pictures with different camera settings to see what I liked
best. Enjoy!
I've written earlier about the joys of Cup Noodle, that easy-to-make
meal that I consumed mass quantities of when nothing else felt
appealing. One of the nice gentlemen from the office gave me this
as a present, it's a custom package for one of their local baseball
teams. Very neat packaging, and there's one for each of the
teams. I don't know exactly what the thing was inside that had
the logo printed on it, but it was very tasty!
